The shrink literally shut Betsy up every time she tried to talk about what narcopig was really doing. Clearly this would make any narc borderline abuse victim feel more trapped, confused, gaslit, invalidated, stupid, worthless, clueless, wrong about everything, and defensive over time. So it really is no wonder that narcopig's victim for 6 & 1/2 years got defensive sometimes. Anyone would and this kind of therapy would make that worse, other than the fact I think she started to hide it and turn to other ways to settle herself down towards the end.
